COMMITTEES The Flowers Family Reunion Committees consist of Flowers Family members and friends who work together to support the Flowers Family Reunion present and future generations.  If you would like more information about joining a committee, contact the Corporate Secretary at mflowers@www.flowersfamilyreunion.com.  At this time committee positions are available in all of these committees.  For more information, please contact the Corporate Secretary at 1-913-375-3393. Reunion Committee The purpose of this committee is to assist the hosting city plan the annual (reunion).  The committee assist the hosting city in planning the events for the reunion, markets the event to family members by trying to get a good attendance, and helps during the event. Awards & Recognition The purpose of this committee is to develop awards and recognition programs, including, but not limited to Flowers Family members (such as Distinguished Family Award, Community Service Award). The committee will choose the recipients for these awards. This committee will also select Flowers Family member scholarship recipients.  Awards will be announced at the banquet function each year. Finance The primary responsibility of the committee is to advise the Advisory Board in financial matters and monitor budgets of host cities and committees. The committee also reviews contracts for lodging and other revenue generating fundraising activities. Marketing Membership Management The primary responsibility of this committee is to plan, implement, and evaluate membership structure and programs to increase membership. The commitee will also work to execute an effective marketing plan to increase the awareness of the Flowers Family Reunion.   This committee will also work on the development and ongoing maintenance of http://www.flowersfamilyreunion.com website. Nominating Committee The purpose of this committee is to recommend qualified candidates to serve on the Advisory Board and as officers of the Flowers Family Reunion. Student Engagement The purpose of this committee is to engage and support students in their successful academic and non-academic careers. Business Services Committee The purpose of this committee is to help Flowers Family members with combat the economic crisis.  This committee will help out with legal, housing, and employment needs by providing links to resources as well as help family members who want to launch a small business secure government contracts.
