The Flowers Family Reunion Association of family and friends meets each year to remember our past, honor our present and celebrate our future.As we meet each year we have new opportunities to have more joy and fun.We come together as a single unit remembering the days when, the places where, the people who, and remembering the times that brought us joy and sorrow.As we reminisce let us not forget the gifts of God.God has blessed and is blessing us every day and even as we gather each year.Many times we say that “the Lord has brought us a mighty long way,” but let us take the time to recognize that he has brought us all the way. We are amazed each year of new family members we had no knowledge of and it is truly an exciting event.
As we celebrate our family reunions, let us keep in mind that these are the people God has placed together, they are comforters; they are a leaning post; they are those for which you can depend; they are our family; they are our friends.So let us every day set aside malice, hatred, and bitterness and focus on the good we all have to offer one another.Let us remember that God has brought us together for a purpose, and that purpose is to learn from the past, study the present, and prepare for the future.
Let us therefore be the example for younger generations so they may grow up with knowledge and traditions that keep our family strong where there is unity, there is strength.So, as we are eating and socializing, let us remember that this is a celebration of unity.
Our family reunions provide a means to renew old relationships, build new ones and to bring our future younger generations into contact with the older ones. At our reunions we meet, greet, fellowship, and have fun with our extended family members. There's opportunity to learn about a whole new group of descendants and obtain important new information about the past from family members who you can make contact with. Our reunions are a goldmine for all Flowers family members and friends to share a wonderful memory for everyone who attends. Our family members may be arriving by planes, trains and automobiles from all over the world.
